If it’s a new ball make sure to take the manufacturing dye off the ball by either using shaving cream or other methods to ensure best result.

BEGIN: Add some water in the jar if its too thick. Let it sit so the water moist the mud. It should be a loose slurry (milkshake). Each panel take a tab of mud and spread it around until the panel is filled. If you see some pebbles exposed put more mud in that area. Avoid the laces, stripes are ok you can wipe them off later. Once the ball is fully mudded (A trick of ours: use a spray bottle and spray the ball to make sure the mud/ball is moisten.) This ensures every spot is consistent. Use your hand if needed. Let it sit for 18-24 hours (minimal 18) this makes sure the ball is fully dried and the process is done before brushing the ball off. Use a brush and brush down each panel. (this gets the easy layer off the ball) Brush all the excess mud off or if you like to brush the mud in to create more grip you can do that but make sure it’s only the thin layer. Don’t cake the ball by brushing all of the mud in like most traditional ways. After brushing well, that it's ready to go unless you prefer to use a conditioner to hydrate the ball again.

If it’s a new ball make sure the manufacturing dye is off the ball. Some apply shaving cream or other methods.

After the ball is ready and clean you will begin to mud the ball (See how to mud the ball in tab above). After the mudding method (+24 hours) and it’s brushed, add a quarter size of prime conditioner to each panel. Let it sit for 12 hours or so to fully dry it. After 12 hours, lightly brush the ball each panel and it’s ready to go!

Note: Some people condition first then mud. We found the other way around to be a better method but feel free to try whichever method you like! The ultimate goal is for the ball to be prepped and hydrated. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
